Harad is native to India, Nepal, China, Sri Lanka, Malaysia and Vietnam. It is called the ‘King of Medicines’ and is a prime Ayurvedic herb due to its extraordinary healing powers. It is a good source of vitamin C and various minerals. It is believed to have antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties.
Harad is one of the 3 components used to make Triphala. It helps treat constipation, digestive disorders, irregular fevers, urinary stones and joint pain.
